Although we certainly do draft wills, trusts, living wills, and powers of attorney, we define our practice using broader terms. We have come to understand that there is a great deal of overlap between the legal and social issues that confront disabled and elderly people and their families. The terms we use are designed to encompass these interactions: Our Attorney and Our Staff Attorney Leonard F. Berg, who has been in practice for nearly three decades, is a leader in our community. He belongs to the associations that help him stay abreast of the law, such as the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Academy of Special Needs Planners and the Illinois Guardianship Association. He regularly presents talks on these topics to other lawyers as well as to the public. He also frequently writes articles for the newspaper addressing these issues. He works with our staff as a team to serve our clients efficiently and cost-effectively. Our Commitment to Our Clients We are committed to treating every individual with respect and dignity. We do our best to explain the legal topics, issues, and processes involved and to make sure they know what is going on with their situation. Our clients find that we are very thorough in our approach, and we do all we can to resolve their problems. Many of our clients come to us as referrals from former clients and other attorneys. Our Office Our office is located next to Highway 255 in a ranch style building with wheel chair accessibility. We also provide home and nursing home visits for clients who have difficulty coming to our office.
